Year 5 Weekly Blog (24. 5. 19)

Date: 24th May 2019 @ 7:34am

Another Half-Term has come to an end. We have finished off our leaflets on the Red Squirrels, with the children’s efforts looking like they were written by actual experts on the creatures! We also looked at how Formby has changed since the late 19th Century. We looked around the school grounds identifying the different sections of the school and how it was built up over time. We also went for a walk around the local era, identifying houses from different eras of time, including the Victorian and Edwardian Eras. We were also given more information on the history of the house by the local residents who were kind enough to share their knowledge. We finished the week off perfectly by enjoying some traditional Fairy-tales with our Year 1 Buddies.

We hope everyone has a fantastic Half-Term and come back well rested for the final few weeks of the School Year.
