On Monday, we started our project on making pop - up books. First we started by folding the paper and practising our mechanisms, then we tried making a pop - up hill, box fold and pop up spirals. This week we also went to Range High School to do some Mayan based activities. We had a choice of dance, drama or music and art and then performed them to our parents at the end of the day. On Thursday, a10 year 5s went to Maghull High School for an anti - bullying training course, they learned about the different types of bullying and how to deal with it. On Friday, we had buddy time and our buddies asked us what fruit we would like in our fruit salad that they are making us. We then asked them questions about their favourite reading habits to help us buy some picture books for our SMILE challenge. In maths, we started learning about perimeter and the distance between the edges around the shape.
