Year 4 Weekly Blog (18.9.20)

Date: 17th Sep 2020 @ 7:06pm

Wow, didn't that week fly by!  We are now getting firmly back into the swing of things and began our H2OH topic this week. The children have been learning about the 3 states of matter and the processes that change one to another. They've had fun with ice and predicted and observed changes in state of an ice cube and the resultant water into gas.

In RE they have worked really hard in producing a short news report of the courageous story of David and Goliath from the book of Samuel.

We undertook our baseline X tables assement this week and the children are excited to get back to their TT Rocks Star sessions next week with the funky 80's music of course!

The Home Learning section of the Year 4 Website page has now been updated and includes all the information you need.

You will have recieved by 4 p.m a 'Welcome to Year 4 guide for parents/carers' . If there are any questions then please let us know.

We wish you and your families a safe and happy weekend and hope the sun will shine for at least another weekend.

See you all on Monday,

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
