Year 4 Weekly Blog (11. 12. 20)

Date: 8th Dec 2020 @ 11:56am

Wow, what a week it has been! It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas as school at the moment and we have had special festive assemblies from the SASW team, the assembly team and our very own Rev Matt; all of course spread out over the week!

In English, the children finally completed their ‘Fox’ continuation stories and today they edited their work and RAG’d their success criteria. Next week we will be holding writing conferences and the children will be given valuable verbal feedback on their work. They have worked enthusiastically with this work and we are looking forward to reading their work with them.

Today was the National School Games’ Santa Dash and the children were all dressed in festive attire to enjoy a Christmas disco run with the added addition of snow; let’s hope they get to see some of the real stuff soon!!

Our Year 4 Superstars this week were: Michael (4W) and Faye (4C)

Charlotte and Katie (4C) achieved their Bronze award and Tom and Lottie (4C), and Tia (4W) achieved their Silver award. Well done to you all.

We are looking forward to breakfast with Santa and party day on Monday, along with lots of other festive activities throughout the week.

Have a safe and happy weekend,

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
