Year 4 Blog - 8th October 2021

Date: 8th Oct 2021 @ 4:54pm

This week has flown by and it was nice to say goodbye the windy weather!!

The children really enjoyed watching their Y3 peers leading Harvest worship on Monday and it made us all think about how lucky and thankful we are to have food on our tables.

On Tuesday, 4C shared the Djembe drums with 4W and it is lovely to see the children having the chance to participate in wider opportunities.

4W have now completed 5 swimming sessions and we are immensley proud of the drive and determination that they put into these sessions.

4C have choreograped their gym sequences and are now refining before presenting their sequence to their class.

It has been lovely seeing the our Y4’s playing so sensibly and respectfully with the skipping ropes, 2D boules and scoop and ball equipment, and we thought it deserved a mention.

Well done to our Weekly Superstar: 4W: Faye and 4C: Nancy

In art, the children have been experimenting with a variety of medium in their sketch books and it is a joy to see them so relaxed and happy when expressing themselves on paper. This is something that they may like to do at home as a means of relaxation. B and M bargains have lots of art resources at incredibly reasonable prices.

We wish you a relaxing weekend and look forward to seeing all of the children again for the penultimate week of this half term.

Many thanks for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
