In the lead up to Christmas, what a great week the children have had! They excitedly walked to church and met with Mat, were they helped to make Christingles. They managed to make 100 of them, ready for the service on Sunday.

In DT, the children have been busily adapting and making a biscuit recipe. As a team, each group worked out the ingredients they needed within the budget they were given. Each group also designed their own logo and packaging design, which they designed and made especially for their buddies. Their buddies were very pleased to receive their gift boxed biscuit.

In Maths the children have been using their dividing skills to work on word problems. They are becoming more confident deciding which method to use, in order to get an accurate answer.

In History, the children have been finding out about King Offa, and why he was significant during the Anglo-Saxon period.

A ‘big’ well done to our Weekly Superstars: 4C: Emily and Sarah 4WM.

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
