Year 4 Blog 28.1.22

Date: 28th Jan 2022 @ 2:30pm

We’ve had another busy week in year 4!

In English, the children have been introduced to more evidence concerning Dr X! It appears that he is not as kind as he has made out. The children are now gathering evidence to support these claims.

We have been thinking about people who inspire us in RE, and why they inspire us. Dr X definitely wasn’t high on the list for anyone!!

In science, they have been testing materials to see if they were conductors or insulators.

In Art, the children have used their sketching techniques to sketch trees, ready for their next exciting art project involving British garden birds.

We have continued to listen to Rock n Roll in music, singing Rock Around the Clock, and exploring Walking bass line.

Well done to our Weekly Superstars:  4C: Jennifer and Mollie 4W.

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
