Year 4 Blog 23.2.24

Date: 23rd Feb 2024 @ 1:27pm

Year 4 have returned from their half term break, full of enthusiasm and have worked their socks off!!

They were invited to watch the Year 5’s Brass concert on Tuesday. This has certainly ignited their enthusiasm to begin learning a brass instrument for themselves. Thank you for sending in the instrument agreements this week. Once they have been shown how to use their instrument on Tuesday, they will be bringing them home.

The children have also been discussing and gathering ideas about the environmental effects of cutting down rainforests, this week.

In history the children have started finding out about the Early Civilisations. See if they can tell you something about them!

Thanks to those children who came to school on Thursday day, looking smart in their uniforms for World Thinking Day on - uniformed organisations.

Well done to our Weekly Superstars: -

4C: Triona and Tom 4WM

We hope you are all rested after your half term break!

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
