Year 4 Blog 22.3.24

Date: 22nd Mar 2024 @ 1:04pm

Year 4 have been very busy this week, excitedly getting ready for their Easter service in church next Wednesday.

In Maths, they have been using their understanding of time, to solve problems based on the duration of time.

In History, the children have been looking at the Shang Dynasty period, identifying where in the world it was located, and when.

In Science, the children have built an electric circuit for the trains they made in DT last week. They kept their fingers crossed when testing out their circuits to see if their trains moved! Their buddies enjoyed seeing their super creations.

In English, they have been imaginatively continuing the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory story. What super writers they are becoming!

Well done to our Weekly Superstars: -

4C: Joe and Alina 4WM.

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
