Year 4 blog 19.1.24

Date: 19th Jan 2024 @ 1:21pm

What a super, cold week we have had! It’s a pity the snow didn’t last longer!!

In maths, we have been working with bar graphs and line graphs. The children have been using tables of information to answer questions and produce their own graphs.

In Art, they created a sensory drawing, by using needles and sharp pencil tips.

In RE the children have been expressing and sharing what is important to them.

In science, we have started looking at the similarities and difference between living things.

The children enjoyed their hockey lesson and are developing their ball control, even though it was very chilly!

4C had a great first swimming lesson, and 4WM enjoyed a relaxing yoga lesson.

A ‘big’ well done to our Weekly Superstars: 4C: Isla and Sam and Lyla 4WM.

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
