Year 4 Blog 19.11.21

What a lovely third week in the Autumn term this has been. It started on a positive note, as we all celebrated being unique, by wearing odd socks. Finishing with a very exciting fun packed Children in Need Celebration, on Friday.

The children have been introduced to how the Ancient Egyptians used hieroglyphs in their writing and have had a go at some decoding. We now look forward to finding out more, when Mr Egypt visits on Monday.

4C enjoyed another swimming session on Wednesday, it was lovely to see their confidence developing in the water.

Well done to Lucy McKee 4C and Isabelle Baines 4W for their winning Pudsey colouring entries. All the entries had been beautifully coloured, which made the choosing very difficult!

Let’s hope the sun continues to shine for the weekend!

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
