Year 4 blog 14.7.23

Date: 14th Jul 2023 @ 1:30pm

We’re still going strong in year 4, even though we are nearing the end of our school year!

In English, the children have completed their research and have written up their information leaflets, based on their chosen European country. They used language and detail, in order to persuade the reader to want to visit that country.

In Maths, the children have been comparing and classifying shapes and identifying symmetrical figures.

All the children happily contributed with skill and determination during Sport’s Day, and didn’t let the rain stop their enthusiasm!!!

4C had their long-awaited Golden ticket celebration, choosing to make dens and eat popcorn, whilst watching a film.

Congratulations to this week's superstars: -

4C: Fraser      4H: Josh W

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning in Year 4.

We hope you all have a very happy, sunny summer!

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
