Year 4 Blog 13.10.23

We’re getting very close to the end of our first half term in Year 4! The children are still going strong! They have all definitely shown a great attitude towards their learning.

In Maths, the children have been subtracting 4-digit numbers with renaming, and they are becoming more accurate in their calculating.

In Art, the children have completed their charcoal sketches in their concertina booklets and have used watercolour paint to add subtle flecks of colour to their monochrome sketches.

In Science, they have looked at factors that affect the rate of evaporation, ready to investigate it next week.

On Tuesday during Mental Health Day, the children thought about what they could do to help improve their wellbeing. They all agreed that getting lots of time to play in the fresh air, is great for them!

They enjoyed their brightly coloured mufti and the disco on Thursday.

Well done to our Weekly Superstar: 4C: Georgina and Grace 4WM

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
