Year 4 Blog - 12/11/21

Date: 12th Nov 2021 @ 3:41pm

This week we have been continuing with our work on the Ancient Egyptians, which the children are finding incredibly fascinasting. We are all looking forward to the 22nd, when we will be finding out more on this topic with Mrs Egypt. The children showed extreme respect during our Year 6's poignant Remembrance Service; they were a credit to St Luke's. 4C enjoyed their second swimming session and are getting into the 'stroke' of things! 4W meanwhile, have been refining their balances and working well with their partners during gymnastics.

Huge congratulations to our 4C superstar this week: Libby Goffey. 4W's will be announced next week.

Also well done to 4W for coming runners up in the Junior TT Rockstar competition.

We look forward to seeing all of the children fashioning their odd socks for Anti Bullying Week.

Also next week, Pudsey toast will be available each break time from Monday-Thursday, and on Friday there will be a range of fun activities in the hall for

Finally, we are all very much looking forward to our trip to the cinema on Wednesday morning: the children thoroughly deserve it after two years of distruption.

Have a safe and enjoyable weekend.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
