Year 4 Blog 10.11.23

Date: 10th Nov 2023 @ 1:37pm

We’ve had another busy week in Year 4.

In Maths, the children have been dividing different amounts and have used the inverse operation to check if their answers were correct.

In English, the children have been looking at the characters from the story The Boy, the Horse, the Fox and been developing some ‘fantastic’ vocabulary for each of the characters.

In History, the children have continued looking at Britain, following the Romans leaving and the Anglo-Saxons invading and settling.

The children used their observation skills in Art, to sketch a variety of leafy plants by using a variety of mark making techniques.

Thanks to Year 6 we took part in an emotive Remembrance service, which helped remember those who lost their lives for us.

We had a super end to our week, by sitting with our buddies for their first celebration worship!

Well done to our Weekly Superstar: 4C: Izzy and Rosie 4WM

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
