Year 4 14.1.22

Date: 14th Jan 2022 @ 2:19pm

What a super, first ‘full week’ into the new Spring term we have had! Luckily, the dry, sunny weather has allowed the children to make the most of their playtimes, spending time with their friends.

In English, Dr X has asked the children for their help. They have been gathering evidence, in order to write a letter of persuasion.

In maths, the children have been multiplying 2- and 3-digit numbers and are becoming more confident with their calculations.

In science they have been sorting appliances, those that use electricity and those that don’t.

In music, they have listened to some more Rock and Roll and have had fun learning to sing, Rock around the Clock.

Well done to our Weekly Superstar: 4C: Albie and Bailey 4W

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
