Year 3 Weekly Blog

Date: 30th Mar 2020 @ 1:26pm

Friday 2rd April

We’ve really enjoyed looking at all of your fabulous Purple Mash creations this week; who knew Celtic round houses could be so inviting and shield designs could be so varied?

As we would normally be finishing for the Easter holidays today we won’t be setting daily Purple Mash activities over the next two weeks, but the Purple Mash site will still be available with other fun things to do if you’d like to keep going – don’t forget to say hello as you submit your work!  All of the other resources such as Oxford Owl, Times Table Rockstars and RMEasyMaths will still be available too. There are lots of other exciting resources on-line at the moment, like Audible’s free audio books for children and JK Rowling’s new Harry Potter resources at

Don’t forget to check back on our Year 3 page on Friday 17th April, when we’ll have a super challenge for you to enjoy the following week.

Around Formby we’ve noticed lots of rainbows in windows and they’ve really brightened our day.  Why not create your own?  A rainbow is a lovely symbol to show that we’re all in this together and we’re staying positive.

Please stay home and safe; if we all do this we can make a real difference.  We miss you all and want to get back to normal as soon as possible, but hope you enjoy and make the most of your family time while school is closed.

Happy Easter!
