Year 3 Weekly Blog (29. 11. 19)

Date: 27th Nov 2019 @ 5:35pm

We were so lucky this week when we were visited by 'real-life' archaeologist Professor Duncan Sayer. He told us all about the dig he is currently working on in Ribchester and how fascinating a life working with rocks, soils and historical artefacts really is! He talked to the children about Stone Age artefacts, relating to our reading of Stone Age Boy, and how soil from different time periods can be identified during a dig. The children were fascinated. Thank you so much Professor Duncan.

Maths this week has been extremely challenging with the children working on extended multiplication. The learning of tables will continue to benefit every child. Thank you for your support.

Your child should have brought home a Christingle letter on Friday. If this could be returned to school ASAP we would be extremely grateful.
