Year 3 Weekly Blog (15. 11. 19)

Date: 15th Nov 2019 @ 8:30am

This week we have continued to look at the multiplication and division of 4 and 8. The children have worked hard but many are still finding this a challenge. Please continue the super start you have all made to Times Tables Rockstars. For those of you struggling to access the site we have stapled details to the inside of your child's homework book.

Within English we have begun to research the Rock Cycle and the various different rocks ready to design and make our own non-fiction Rock Booklets next week. The children have used a range of research methods including the use of books, dictionaries and the internet and have gathered some excellent research materials. They have also designed some beautiful topic covers.

Science was once again an edible delight with the children sorting a range of chocolate bars. They had to study each chocolate bar and decide whether or not it was an igneous, sedimentary or metamorphic rock. Ask them all about it!

Friday afternoon saw us participating in Joe Wicks's HIIT workout in aid of Children in Need and we all worked so hard and had lots of fun. Check out the photos.

Just to inform you, outdoor games has now changed from a Monday afternoon to a Tuesday afternoon, therefore the children now need their outdoor kit on a TUESDAY instead of a Monday.
