Year 3 Weekly Blog (10. 5. 19)

Date: 10th May 2019 @ 9:36pm

This week we have enjoyed and experienced so many new experiences. We began our week with a visit to Ness Gardens to support our Science this half term. We had a wonderful day spending time in the Potting Shed potting our own individual runner beans in our home-made, compostable pots. We also learnt all about pollination and how important bees are to the survival of various plant species. We had a great day and the weather was also very kind to us!

On Thursday we enjoyed another visit from Emma Gaunt and learnt all about the 'Healthy Plate.' This built upon the yoga session she led last week, teaching us how important it is to keep both our mind and body healthy.

Our dancing skills were tried and tested this week also when we took part in our first 'Bollywood' dance lesson led by Mrs Morris. The children (and staff) had so much fun and we are looking forward to learning a new part each week.

Maths has once again proved challenging for many of the children this week as so many of them are unable to tell the time. Please continue to work on this at home.
