Can you hear the subtle jingle of sleigh bells…  because we certainly can!

Christmas is very much upon us in school. Firstly, can we say a HUGE thank you to all those who have contributed to our reverse advent calendar. The box is overflowing with essentials, treats and even a few toys and books. What a way to spread some much-needed joy this Christmas time.  Talking about Christmas the children have really enjoyed getting stuck into their festive sewing project. They have been brainstorming their ideas, trying out their designs and then reflecting and improving on their initial design process and we are nearing a final decision. We do have a small range of embellishments in school for that extra bit of Christmas bling but if your child would like to add something specific to their decoration please send it into class in a labelled sandwich bag.

Well, what a resounding success our South American mini project has been. Mrs Cowey was astounded by the variety of creative masterpieces the children produced. Year 3 even got a mention in our staff meeting so impressed was she by the knowledge, attention to detail and enthusiasm the children demonstrated as they fell over each other to tell her all about their chosen area of expertise surrounding South America. Take a look at some of the photographs.

Next week we have a jam-packed festive schedule as we edge closer to the big day.

Sunday   – Christingle service in church, 4.00pm
Monday   – Year 2 Nativity to school.
Tuesday  – Christmas Carol Concert at church, 6.30pm. Please join us if you can.
Wednesday – Breakfast with Santa AND Christmas lunch.
Thursday – Year 3 Christmas party. Children can come to school wearing their party / Christmas clothes.
Friday … a little lie down in a dark room - and that’s just the adults!

Have a fabulously festive weekend. Take care and stay safe.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
