Welcome back and Happy New Year to you all!

For this shorter week, Y3 have been completing their Skara Brae persuasive leaflets. As a whole, we are delighted with the persuasive writing produced by the children. One of the Y3 objectives is to correctly use subheadings to structure writing.

Our new P.E. days in Y3 will now be on a Wednesday and Friday. Indoor P.E. session will be dodgeball – very exciting! Our outdoor P.E. session will be Hockey, also very exciting!

Our new English topic is based on a narrative story called The Incredible Book Eating Boy by Oliver Jeffers! This relates closely to our topic/science for this half term which is all about healthy humans and animals.

3H will enjoy their Golden Ticket Reward on Monday 8th January in the afternoon. Please remember a small treat with no nuts. The children in 3H can wear their own clothes for the day and bring in a blanket to relax whilst watching the film.

Eureka! On Thursday 11th January, Y3 will be visiting the amazing science museum in the Wirral.

Maths homework this week is a recap on bus stop division. As a year group, we decided that area needs further strengthen before we start our new topic... fractions! The new home learning grid is on the website named ‘Humans are Animals too.’

Please take a look at the photos below, not as many with it being a two-day week!

Enjoy the weekend and see you all on Monday!

The Year Three Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
