Well how did we end up here?

The last day of term has come around so quickly! The children have finished off our tour of prehistory by delving into what life was like for families during the Iron Age. The Iron Age is the final epoch of the three-age division of the prehistory, a time before any written records. We have even peeked around the corner into our next adventure which will be the ever popular, Romans. This will be our final topic in the second half of the Summer term.  We will be visiting Chester in July and meeting a real Roman soldier. How exciting and certainly something to look forward to!

Back to this week, the children really enjoyed watching the Year 5 children perform their rip roaring 90-minute spectacular ‘Rock Bottom’ – all about the Stone Age. They laughed in all the right places and clapped along to the fabulous musical numbers. Perfect!

Thursday was not only ‘Wear a Hat Day’ but also a visit to church to watch our friends in Year 4 lead The Easter Service. We even had the pleaseure of walking to church with Reception. The children were great role models and happiliy chatted away to their young friends.

Finally, on Friday we completed our week with some Easter craft. What a fantastic way to end our Spring Term.

One more term to go and then Year 4 awaits. Can you believe it?

Let’s hope the Easter Bunny brings the sunshine and good health. Have a wonderful break everyone and stay safe.

The Year Three Team x

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
