Year 3 blog - 15.1.21

Date: 15th Jan 2021 @ 4:40pm

15.1.21

What a week we've had! You have all been so amazing and we couldn't be any prouder. We have all mastered a new skill or two this week haven't we and have definitely earned two days off!!

Also, thank you so much for your kind words and positivity. During what has been a tricky week they have been gratefully received. However, the biggest thank you goes to all of you at home who have worked so hard and supported your child's learning. From here on in it should hopefully get a little easier.

Thinking about making things easier we have changed the planning format for next week. We have put the same lesson at the same time each day for those of you who like a little more structure. However, please be aware that at home, other  than the live lessons, you can fit the planning around your own schedule. In school we have to work around set playtimes, lunch times, PE times etc but you use the planning so that it works for you.

We know lots of you now have no pages left in your textbooks. For the time being could you please work on paper or in an excercise book of your own if you have one.

For those chidren in school can parents please remember to send in hand sanitiser. Some of the children currently do not have any in class.

Can parents also ensure that when their child joins a meeting they join with their actual name and not a nick name or gaming name. Thank you.

Finally, have a wonderful weekend and we'll see you all at 9:30  Monday morning. Remember to keep hand washing and stay socially distanced.

The Year 3 Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
