Year 2 weekly blog (25.11.22)

Date: 25th Nov 2022 @ 3:04pm

Another fun filled nativity week - we're so close to the end now! We have our first dress rehearsal next week to our buddies which we are really excited for!

We started the week with the option to watch the Englands first game in the World Cup which a lot of the children really enjoyed!

In Maths this week we are continuing with division, and investigating how to divide by 2.

In RE we have been looking at how a mosque is a special place for Muslims and thinking about our special places. We had lots of great input from the children and it's lovely to hear about their own special places. We then looked at what we would find within a mosque which we all found very interesting!

Continuing our topic 'Celebrations around the world' we have been talking about thanksgiving and even made our own thankgiving turkeys!

Again, we must apologise for the lack of pictures, but we have been nativity focused!

Have a lovely weekend,

The Year 2 team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
