Don't forget: Wear a Hat to School day is on Thursday 28th March, our last day of term. We are requesting a voluntary £1 donation to Brain Tumour Research, a charity close to our hearts, having lost staff and parents to this cancer over the last few years. Thanks for your support!

Year 1 Weekly Blog (27. 11. 20)

Date: 26th Nov 2020 @ 12:37pm

Friday 27th November

This week, the children came up with lots of different gifts that don’t need wrapping. These ranged from a smile and a compliment to helping hands and a hug at home. Wonderful!

We continued our amazing owl baby booklets and sharing more fascinating animal facts. Who knew hippos have their own sunscreen?

Next week, we look forward to St Andrew’s Day, on Monday, and learning more about him and Scotland.

We are delighted to say Christmas is coming! This year we will prepare and record our Christmas carols, for the local residential homes, here in school. Away in a manger will be our first to learn, in preparation for this.

Have a lovely weekend.

Many thanks for your continued support.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
