Don't forget: Wear a Hat to School day is on Thursday 28th March, our last day of term. We are requesting a voluntary £1 donation to Brain Tumour Research, a charity close to our hearts, having lost staff and parents to this cancer over the last few years. Thanks for your support!

Year 1 Weekly Blog (25. 9. 20)

Date: 23rd Sep 2020 @ 3:45pm

Friday 25th September

Dear Y1 Parents & Carers,

Busy times! As mentioned, we have been thinking about our facial features and completing our first self-portraits. In the week ahead, we look forward to reflecting on them and spend time improving on our initial designs.

In Year 1, we discuss the changing of the seasons, including the weather. Autumn being our hot topic. Any opportunity you may have to observe and discuss the weather would be wonderful. Also, as the nights draw in, we will talk more about how daylight varies over the course of a year.

If there are any queries, please contact the office and they will forward to Miss O’Neill or Mrs. Page.

Have a wonderful weekend.

Stay safe and well.

The Year One Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
