Don't forget: Wear a Hat to School day is on Thursday 28th March, our last day of term. We are requesting a voluntary £1 donation to Brain Tumour Research, a charity close to our hearts, having lost staff and parents to this cancer over the last few years. Thanks for your support!

                   Friday 18th December

What an eventful week we have just shared! It was wonderful to start the proceedings with our Christmas party, closely followed by Breakfast with Santa. We had a ball!

The viewing of our amazing Year 2 Nativity certainly reminded us of the true meaning of Christmas as did our Christmas service today.

We also completed our carol rehearsals and recorded them for our usual local care homes. We have included this festive clip on our website for you to view. We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed preparing for it.

May we take the opportunity to wish you a very merry Christmas and to thank you for your best wishes and generosity. It is very much appreciated by everyone in Year One.

Many thanks for your continued support.

The Year One Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
