Don't forget: Wear a Hat to School day is on Thursday 28th March, our last day of term. We are requesting a voluntary £1 donation to Brain Tumour Research, a charity close to our hearts, having lost staff and parents to this cancer over the last few years. Thanks for your support!

Year 1 Weekly Blog (16. 10. 20)

Date: 13th Oct 2020 @ 2:22pm

Friday 16th October

As promised, the weather held and we were able to observe, and discuss, signs of Autumn around school. The impressive Autumn collages, completed at home, have been wonderful to see too and will form part of our classroom displays.

We also took the opportunity to continue to develop our athletic skills and look forward to that in the week to come too.

Thank you for the many contributions made for our bucket challenge. We can’t wait to learn the results. Watch this space!

Many thanks for your continued support over this very unique half term. We are very proud of all of the children and their efforts to settle into their life in Year 1.

We wish you all a wonderful break and look forward to seeing you very soon.

The Year One Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
