Friday 9th February

Another busy week has flown by!

The children had lots of fun on Tuesday – ‘Rock Kids’ went down a storm! We also learnt more about e-safety, as it was ‘Internet Safety’ day.

The children have enjoyed practical maths activities with 2D and 3D shapes, including a shape hunt.

We continued exploring ‘turning skills’ with the Bee-bots in computing.

Thank you for letting us borrow a family  ‘in living memory’ toy.  We have found them so useful as a writing stimulus. They were used to complete our ‘Toy’ topic facts and information work.

More fun to come next half-term with our ‘Pirates & Explorers’ theme!

Have an enjoyable half-term and we look forward to hearing all the holiday news!

Thank you for all your continued support,

The Year One Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
