Friday 8th December

Our puppet project continues and the children have begun making their individual puppets. Next week, the children will join the component parts and begin to add their final flourishes.

This week, we have continued to learn the words for our parts in the Christmas church service. Little and often is proving successful and we would appreciate the same, when at home. We will visit church, next Thursday morning and the following Monday morning to rehearse there.

We were so delighted to receive a beautiful book each, from church, and appreciate their generosity.

It was wonderful to see the Year 2 Nativity, today, when we were reminded of the true meaning of Christmas. The children were amazing and we are very proud of them all.

We are all looking forward to a very eventful time, next week too. Monday, we will watch the SASWT Christmas Show.  Wednesday we will enjoy our Christmas Dinner as well as wearing a Christmas jumper or colours. The Christmas concert, at church, is also on this day, at 6pm. Exciting times ahead!

Please ensure book bags are brought into school, daily, and that relevant comments are added to the reading records. As mentioned, previously, SET 2 and 3 Speed Sounds can still be purchased through Spider and collected from the office. They provide valuable reinforcement for the children when home.

Have a lovely weekend and thank you for your continued support.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
