Friday 6th October

This week, we enjoyed our terrific fruit and vegetable taste testing. We have chosen the smoothies we will make and look forward to sampling them, next week.

We also thought about where our fruit and vegetables grow and how they might grow above ground, below ground or on trees and vines.

We continued our drawing art work and used fine nibbed pens to great effect. Take a look at the examples included in our photographs.

In the week ahead, flu vaccinations will take place, on Wednesday. Thursday, we have a rainbow themed Mufti Day, celebration diversity and this is followed by the disco. So much to look forward to.

As mentioned at our Welcome meeting, it is important that the children have their book bag, reading books and reading record in daily. Also, as the weather is so changeable, please ensure your child has a coat in school, each day.

Have a wonderful weekend.

If there are any queries, please contact our dedicated email.                                                                        [email protected]

With thanks.

The Year One Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
