What a wonderful first week back we have had!

We dipped our toes into our Pirates and Explorers topic and enjoyed devising our own dance moves for our Pirate Dance. We walked the plank, scrubbed the decks, climbed the rigging and developed our sword skills. It didn't stop there, and we look forward to adding to our dance sequence next week. We also continued investigating the properties of different materials and thought about absorbency and how some materials are waterproof.

Next week, we look forward to more exciting times. On Monday, 1P will welcome Miss Duffy to class and she will complete part of her teaching course with us. Tuesday, we will have fun on the inflatables, Wednesday is the Golden Ticket reward afternoon for 1P (more information to follow), Thursday is World Book Day, with our Milk and Cookies evening and Friday we look forward to Superstar worship and celebrating achievements across school. Can't wait!

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
