Y5 Weekly Blog (7. 9. 18)

Date: 8th Sep 2018 @ 12:55pm

What a fabulous first week back we have had in Year 5! All of the staff have been really impressed with how the children have come into the first week, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, ready to learn.

Our Year 5 journey has kicked off with a look at advertisements and the children have done well to try and persuade people how amazing St Luke’s is! We look forward to them using these skills throughout the year. We have also started looking at the counties of England which we will continue to look at as the year proceeds.

The last Hurrah to the week was the Annual World Cup of Reading event, where the children had to decide which piece of classic or modern literature was the best out of a hearty field. It was tough, but in the end there was only one winner per class… 5J decided on Dreamcatcher whereas 5L chose Room 13. These will become the class readers for the first part of the year

Well done to our superstars Liam (5J) and Lyla (5L) for all their hard work this week! Keep it up!

The Year 5 Team.
