We have had a really enjoyable week with 2 stand out highlights. The first was watching the Year 3 Harvest Service at church and the second was when we got back to school, we watched our own Harvest Service from when we were in Year 3. Our favourite bit was the blooper section at the end - we laughed and laughed and also seeing our selves without teeth, as most of us had gappy smiles where our baby teeth had fallen out!.

In history this week, we learnt all about Maya daily life and the difference between being rich and poor in the Maya times. We celebrated National Poetry Day by writing our own poems based on nature and on the Maya. In maths we have continued with our addition and subtraction lessons, and will move onto multiplication and division towards the end of next week.

Next week we start our DT unit and will need to bring in a cereal box for Monday.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
