Y4 Weekly Blog (5. 10. 18)

Date: 5th Oct 2018 @ 5:51pm

This week we have been busy learning all about rivers. The children have enjoyed making a 3D river basin and should be able to name some of the features of rivers. On the theme of water, we have also been studying water poetry and next week the children will be creating their own river poems using poetic devices such as metaphors, similes, personification! Etc…..

We will have been studying how states of matter can change through melting and evaporating, and next week, we will investigate condensing and introduce the water cycle. This will also include the water cycle song!!!

Talking of singing, if your child has suddenly started singing ABBA songs, then we are studying Mama Mia in music over the next couple of weeks and introduced it to them this week.

Next Tuesday, we will be walking with our Reception buddy classes to church, to celebrate Harvest. If you would like to accompany us on our walk, then please get in touch.

Just a reminder that Winmarleigh deposits are due in on the 18th October.

Have a lovely weekend.

The Year 4 team.
