We have had another lovely week in year 4.

In Maths this week, the children have been comparing and ordering numbers.

In English, we are really getting to know the characters in our story Fox and we have focused on looking at the language the author has used this week.

In Art the children have started to create their own concertina book, where they are creating marks using their imagination, charcoal and pencil inspired from specific vocabulary taken from Fox.

They have enjoyed looking at the course of the river Mersey in Geography, and identifying key features.

In PE the children had fun balancing on a variety of body parts.

Some of the children have put themselves forward to represent each class on the school council, so they eagerly await the outcome.

Well done to our Weekly Superstar: 4C: Joel and Emily 4H

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
