Reception Weekly Blog (19.3.21)

Date: 19th Mar 2021 @ 3:27pm

Week ending Friday 15th March 2021
Another fantastic week in Reception! We have continued our theme of ‘The Three Little Pigs’. The children have spent lots of time talking about what makes a ‘good wolf’, we came up with some fantastic ways to make amends and the children used their Fred fingers to independently write down their ideas.

Something very exciting happened on Monday, frogspawn arrived in our ROLA! We have loved watching the little jelly shells each day, we are currently waiting for them to turn to ‘commas’. The children are doing a fantastic job of keeping them safe.

We have really enjoyed learning all about the number 11, this is something you can speak about at home. How many things can you find with 11 on? we’d love to hear about it on a ‘Good News’ slip.

Red Nose Day has been a huge success, and we have taken the opportunity to talk with the children about how it is important to think of others who have challenges in their lives. Thank you for your kind donations.

We now have our new groupings and we are looking forward to starting RWInc next week.

Have a lovely weekend and take care all,

The Reception Team :)

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
