Another fabulous week in Reception!

A cosy, comfy start to our week on Monday. We enjoyed our Golden Ticket Celebration, wearing our favourite PJ’s and enjoying a little treat of popcorn.

We introduced number 9 this week, we have learnt that 9 is a square just like number 4, but nine is made up of 3 rows of 3. During outdoor games we used our bean bags as snowballs and tried aiming at a target.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip to The Brindley to watch ‘Santa’s Best Ever Christmas’ and what a brilliant trip it was. The show was super and our children were fabulous from the minute we left school to our return, with marvellous manners when they met Santa. Take a look at the pictures below.

Another busy week to come next week, here are some reminders:

Wednesday 15th December - If you have signed up for Breakfast with Santa, this is a FOSLS (Friends of St. Luke's) event, so please refer to the organisation information sent from them. Reception staff will be there helping, children should be in their school uniform this day.

Wednesday 15th December – ‘Christmas Dinner Day’ – children will be in their uniform and we will eat our roast dinner together at lunch time. If your child will not eat a roast dinner please speak to your child’s class teacher as soon as possible.

Have a wonderful weekend and don’t forget to share your good news with us by emailing reception@slf.sefton.school

The Reception Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
