Evening all,

We’ve had another lovely week here in Y6!

Across all subjects, the children have been working very hard to produce lots of beautiful pieces of work.

In Art and Design for example, the children have continued creating their very own still life masterpieces in the style of Cubism, which was created by Picasso and Braque.

In RE, the children have learnt about such inspirational figures as Hany El-Banna, Nelson Mandela and Rosa Parks, who were/are all prominent figures in the fight for equality across the world.

We’d also like to say a big well done to Reah Fraser (6G) and Dan Shalliker (6G) for being awarded with this week’s Y6 Superstar certificates.

Take care and have a lovely weekend!

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
