Year 6 blog week ending 6.6.25
Date: 6th Jun 2025 @ 2:32pm
It has been a successful return to school this week. We have started making early plans for the Year 6 Leavers' Show, with children forming their own groups and making suggestions about what their act will consist of. This is still in the very early stages so please don't feel the need to commit to purchasing props or costumes just yet.
We have started our summer term focus on Macbeth. This grisly play has inspired the children and they are already showing a good understanding of characters, themes and key events from the story.
In maths, the children are using and applying lots of their existing skills in the real-life challenge of designing their own theme park, with operational and build costs factored in. The children have relished the challenge this poses and we will continue with it next week.
6H were lucky enough to visit St. Luke's church on Thursday as Reverend Matt led his monthly Eucharist service. 6G are already looking forward to doing this for the July service.
