Religious Education
“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”
― Nelson Mandela
Our school's Christian vision underpins the school’s approach to the teaching of RE using the locally agreed syllabus. Pupils explain that RE is a time for respectful, open discussion. They value the opportunity to learn through creative activities and visits to the parish church and non-Christian places of worship. RE books and floorbooks show that pupils enjoy a range of activities including written tasks, drama, art and hot seating. (SIAMS report 2019)
