Year 6 blog week ending 3.10.25
Date: 3rd Oct 2025 @ 9:38am
Year 6 have had a very successful week. They have all been giving it their all and they have managed our first round of mock SATs assessments with resilience and a 'can do' attitude. This is only a starting point for the year but it will inform our teaching content and help us to make the curriculum on offer as tailored and suitable as possible.
Within lessons, the children have enjoyed a wide variety of experiences: we have recapped the digestive system from Year 4, done dodgeball and tag-rugby, looked at sentence structures in Latin, revised multiplication and division strategies in maths, and much, much more.
Thank you for all of your support so far this year. As an aside, we have now provided children with paper copies of the SPaG element for their home-learning. This was due to a relatively low up-take of children completing their assignments online. Hopefully, this will encourage the children and support them to make more progress.
Have a restful and fun-filled weekend with your families,
The Year 6 team.
