Year 6 Blog 18.12.25

Date: 17th Dec 2025 @ 3:54pm

Our final week of 2025 in school has come to an end with a buzz - mostly down to the steady-hand game the children have produced on Monday. They used the plan they have created to design and fold a net for their base, create a simple circuit which they then adapted to include a funky pattern, before inserting this inside the box. The children then evaluated their own and their partners work.

Takeover day on Tuesday saw the children play some fun games, create some crafty cards and take part in the Santa Dash. It was all topped off by an amazing party with games of stations and pass-the-parcel (with some forefits for the winners to earn their prizes).

More craft and games have followed and the children have made it to the end and have deserved a well-earned break.

Merry Christmas to you all and we look forward to seeing you in 2026!

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
