We’re still going strong in year 4, even though we are nearing the end of our school year!

In English, we've continued our learning about the digestive system and have had lots of fun finding out what happens to our food as it travels through our bodies! The children have been building up their scientific vocabulary and writing about the different parts of the digestive system in lots of detail. They're now ready to put all of their ideas together and write some fantastic explanation texts about how the digestive system works.

In Maths, we've been busy exploring time! The children have been practising converting between seconds, minutes and hours, as well as reading and comparing both analogue and digital clocks. We've also been solving lots of time problems, helping the children become more confident with using time in everyday situations.

In Geography, we've been learning about the human features of Europe. The children have explored some of Europe's major cities, famous landmarks and transport networks, while discussing how people live and work in different countries. They have enjoyed using atlases and digital maps to locate and compare these human features across the continent.

On Monday, all the children happily contributed with skill, determination and enthusiasm during Sport’s Day, and luckily the rain was kind to us and stayed away!!
