Year 4 blog 26.6.26

Date: 26th Jun 2026 @ 11:28am

We've had a very hot and sticky week, but the children have been absolute stars! They have coped brilliantly with the warm weather, staying positive, working hard and remembering to keep cool by drinking plenty of water and taking regular shade breaks!

On Tuesday, we had a zoom meet with the Sing For Sefton group and other schools that have been taking part in Sing for Sefton, ready for a visit to The Atkinson next week for a singing spectacular!

We are incredibly proud of the way Year 4 have approached their end-of-year assessments recently. Everyone has shown maturity, resilience and a positive attitude, giving their best effort. They have demonstrated just how much they have learned this year and should all be very proud of themselves. Well done, Year 4 – you have been absolute superstars!

On Thursday, there was a real buzz of excitement in Year 4 as the children got to visit their new Year 5 classrooms! They loved having a look around, meeting their new teachers and getting a feel for what next year will be like. There were lots of excited chats afterwards, with many children already looking forward to September. It was lovely to see just how ready and enthusiastic they are for their next school year!

Congratulations to this week's superstars: -

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
