Year 4 blog 20.3.26

Date: 20th Mar 2026 @ 12:21pm

Year 4 have enjoyed a great week of sunshine.

In Maths, the children have been learning methods to multiply 3-digit numbers by 1-digit numbers. They are also working hard to improve their times table instant recall, building their confidence and fluency.

Year 4 had a wonderful visit to Liverpool Cathedral, where they explored themes of betrayal and trust as part of their Easter learning. The children took part in engaging workshops that helped them understand the Easter story in a meaningful way.

They are now using this experience to prepare for their Easter service performance in church on Tuesday, which they are excited to share with their families and the rest of the school.

On Friday, the children looked very bright in their red, to support Red Nose Day! They also had the added excitement of meeting their buddies to share a story and have a play!

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
