The children have well and truly settled into their new year group and are working their socks off!

In maths this week, the children have been looking at place value and identifying the value of each digit in 4-digit numbers, they have also been ordering and comparing amounts.

The children have been continued looking at states of matter in science and have been looking at the properties of solids, liquids and gases.

In English, they have been working with a text about a raindrop of water. They have creatively worked out actions to help them remember each part of the Water Cycle.

In Geography, the children excitedly tracked the course of the river Mersey and created a page of information, adding some significant landmarks.

In PE the children have been using their body parts to create movements and sequences to travel along apparatus.

Well done to our Weekly Superstar: 4C: Erin and Maddy 4WM

Many thanks again for supporting your child’s learning.

The Year 4 Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
