Can you believe we are approaching week three of this new term and our very exciting sleepover trip!

Catalyst Sleepover Trip - 3R Tuesday 30th April, 3H Wednesday 1st May.

Reminders: The children are to come into school on the day of their trip in comfortable clothing. We will be leaving school on the coach at 1pm. We will arrive back in school the following day at approximately 11:30AM. Parents/Carers are welcome to pick their child up from 11:30AM onwards. For the children who stay in school until 15:20, they will have a quiet afternoon watching a film/sleep if needed.

In maths we have started our new topic of Perimeter. The children have learned how to measure the total length of 2D shapes. Y3 enjoyed a practical lesson where they measured the length of shapes and other items around the classroom using string and rulers.

In outdoor P.E. this week, Y3 enjoyed an afternoon of cricket! Please take a look at some of the photos. We had such a fun time! In indoor P.E. this week, the children have continued their work on Roman Dancing! Have a sneak peak of some of the photos from our dancing session.

Home Learning - Reminder that Home Learning books are to be returned to school on Wednesday each week. The new home learning grid has been glued into your child’s book, if they handed it in on time. Otherwise a loose paper copy was sent home with them on Friday! There are also two pieces of maths homework set on Doodle maths to be completed.

The Year Threem Team

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
