What a week we have had! Everyday we have enjoyed a different baking opportunity. From grilling our Asian kebabs, baking a magnificent crumble that Mrs Cowey gave a 10/10. Perfection! In fact, other members of staff were fighting over the last few mouthfuls it was that delicious. It is such a simple thing to make that the children can get fully involved with preparing. Maybe you could find time over the half term to make your very own Autumnal crumble? Then, of course we had the main event; designing and then baking our own individual savoury tart.

Please take a look at some of our photographs below. The children had such a wonderful time and really enjoyed our DT project. We clearly have some budding chefs in Year Three.

The children also enjoyed walking to St Luke’s church for a special service delivered by Rev. Matt for ‘St Luke’s Day.’

Thank you for all your support over this first half term in Year Three. Moving to the juniors can be a huge step for some children and we have tried to make the transition as seamless as possible.  As always, if you have any concerns please contact us via our [email protected]

Wishing you all a happy half term and we will see everyone back, refreshed and ready to roll for the Autumn 2… plus the build up to Christmas!

Thank you,

The Year Three Team.

to learn, to succeed, to value one another

Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. A value is a belief or principle that guides our thinking and behaviour. Our values underpin our teaching and learning, and provide an environment which prepares our pupils to be happy and confident and to to take an active role in their community and the wider world.

Each year group has adopted one of our Christian values: Kindness, Forgiveness, Courage, Thankfulness, Hope, Faithfulness and Respect. Our over-arching Christian Value is Love. Throughout the year children are helped to explore, have opportunities to practise and then given time to reflect on what each of our Christian values means to them.
